The 6.0L Powerstroke ARP 250-4202 Diesel Head Stud Kit addresses the common issue of head gasket failures in 6.0 Powerstroke diesel engines used in trucks and RVs. ARP, a leader in fastener technology, has developed these extra heavy-duty head studs specifically to withstand higher combustion pressures and prevent cylinder head lifting.
Manufactured in ARP’s Santa Paula, CA facility, these studs are made from proprietary ARP 2000 material and boast a tensile strength of 190,000 psi. Threads are rolled after heat treatment to ensure optimal fatigue strength, and the studs are centerless ground for perfect concentricity, enhancing durability and reliability.
The broached ends of the studs facilitate easy installation and allow for cylinder head removal even in tight engine compartments. Each kit also includes heat-treated, chrome-moly steel 12-point nuts and parallel-ground washers. Finished with black oxide, these components provide extreme durability under harsh operating conditions.
