The Clevite MS-2218H H-Series Main Bearing Set is engineered for high-performance and heavy-duty 2001–2016 GM 6.6L Duramax engines. Originally developed for competitive racing applications, H-Series bearings are designed to withstand high RPM operation, increased cylinder pressure, and demanding engine loads while maintaining exceptional durability and oil control.
Built with a high-crush design and medium eccentricity, the MS-2218H bearings provide superior bearing retention and improved oil film stability under extreme operating conditions. In addition, enlarged chamfers offer greater crankshaft fillet clearance, making these bearings an excellent choice for performance crankshafts and upgraded engine builds.
Unlike traditional bearings, H-Series bearings are manufactured without flash plating to improve seating and conformity during installation. Their tri-metal construction delivers the strength and fatigue resistance trusted by diesel engine builders and performance shops across the industry.
Available in both standard clearance and +.001 extra oil clearance options, these bearings allow engine builders to fine-tune oil clearances for performance, towing, and high-horsepower applications.
